Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say what a great class we had on Monday!
We started out working on some rolls. Each Black Belt working on the basic rolls in the mat room. Then to make sure we had them down and to really find out what the real world is like, we moved out onto the concrete room! Ouch! If your form was wrong or you were a little sloppy you definately noticed! Those boney shoulders and elbows and even a few hard heads managed to bump the floor a little more than they would have liked. But at the end everyone's rolls were much better! That's the goal, to get better, so having a couple of sore elbows or knees was worth it.
Then we moved on to Dodge ball. Not normal everyday kids dodge ball, no no no. Black Belt dodgeball! With the Instructor's throwing tennis balls at them! It was very fast paced and everyone had a great time, and I'm surprised at how good they are sometimes.
To end the class we watched some Muay Thai matches straight from Thailand! These featured kids in their early teens up to mid twenties. Some great full contact matches with knees, elbows, punches and kicks. Awesome stuff!
I'm looking forward to much more neat stuff like that in Master's Class and I have a few cool ideas coming down the line, see ya then.
